Spring Steel

our spring steel swords are mostly from old leaf spring. These swords will usually price between 8,000 - 15,000 baht. Normally we do not have these up on sale most of the time but to help support new smiths we occasionally have spring steel swords in stock to help support our local artisans.

SUP9

SUP9 is basically a spring steel with a bit better specification and characteristic. Some smiths choose to use these sometimes. Swords made with SUP9 are from newly made steel bar. Price usually from 15,000 - 25,000 baht.

SK4

A very popular steel for making Dha with its edge retention and toughness and moderately easy to forge. Most of the top tier forges in Thailand offer these as standard since it's easy to make differential heat-treat blade with clay method from SK4. Our entry level, Custom and Signature model are made in SK4 steel as standard. Price usually ranges from 10,000 - 30,000 baht depending on which forge we get these from.

one of the best steels for Dha with its toughness, shock resistance and edge retention. Most top tier forges offer these but at a premium price starting from 20,000 baht ++ Due to its characteristics and harder to forge compared to other steels. We only have a few swords made from these steels per year.

L6

Best steel for Dha right now with superior flexibility and toughness. There are only a handful of smith that can process L6 in Thailand. All of the forges that offer L6 are gas forges and heat treat in salt bath. Price usually starts at 20,000 baht ++ We rarely have these in stock.
